FAQ
The 8 things you (and your AI) most want to know about TruePick. Answers as honest as our recommendations.
How does TruePick make money?
When users buy through our affiliate links, the e-commerce platform (Pinduoduo etc.) pays us a CPS commission, the same model as any shopping guide. The difference: commission rate carries exactly ZERO weight in our ranking algorithm. How much a merchant pays us never affects its position. It's welded into the code, not a slogan.
Why should I trust your recommendations?
Three layers of transparency: ① Every pick comes with a score breakdown + reasons + concerns (even the #1 pick gets red flags) ② Every excluded candidate gets an explanation of why it was rejected ③ Every category gets a "real ceiling hint": when no perfect option exists within budget, we say where the ceiling is. We never pretend a pick is the global best when it isn't.
How do I connect my AI?
TruePick is a standard MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. For Claude Desktop / Cursor or any MCP-compatible client, add 3 lines of JSON to your config and restart. See the Integrations page. When Doubao / Qwen / Kimi ship MCP support, TruePick works instantly, zero code changes on our side.
Do you store my shopping data?
No. We deliberately built NO user preference memory, it's anti-manipulation by design: if the system "learned" from user behavior, merchants could use bot accounts to inflate their products' exposure and poison everyone's recommendations. No memory = ungameable = genuinely fair to you.
Which platforms do you support?
Phase 1 (now): Pinduoduo, polishing recommendation quality on a single platform. Phase 2 (planned): JD, Taobao, Douyin, Kuaishou, Meituan. Cross-platform also enables price-delta signals: the same product 50% cheaper on Pinduoduo than JD usually means counterfeit; 20% cheaper means real value.
How is this different from coupon/cashback apps?
Two fundamental differences: ① We are built for AI Agents (MCP-first): users chat with their AI, the AI calls us. Not another app fighting for your screen time. ② Our ranking carries zero commission weight, while most shopping guides' "editor picks" are commercial placements.
What if a recommendation turns out bad?
Honestly: the final decision is always yours. What we do: curate ruthlessly from a sea of candidates, flag every suspicious signal, and apply a "would I recommend this to my own mother" bar. When nothing is good enough, you get a straight "nothing found" instead of padding. Product quality guarantees ultimately come from the platform (7-day returns / 10x compensation pledges are flagged in our picks).
Can businesses / developers integrate commercially?
Let's talk. An API subscription tier (for AI app developers) and enterprise customization are on the roadmap. Email business@aizhentiao.com, a real human replies.
